Classes

Ideal for beginners, this is an 8 week structured course which will cover Health and Safety, all handbuilding techniques including pinch/thumb pots, slabbing and coiling and we will aim for each child to 'have a go' on the potter's wheel.  There will be a project for each method and during the course, we will aim to cover the use of as many different materials as possible i.e. slips, underglazes, glazes.

We offer a happy and relaxed atmosphere with the main focus on having fun, whilst learning a new skill within a small group of children (maximum 8) and lots of individual attention.

Chris has been teaching and working with children for four years in a private school and has 2 children of her own.

Your child will need a PVC apron and to wear old, comfortable clothes.  All the tools needed for the course will be provided.  

Cost of 6 week course £45 (including materials) payable on registration.
Each session is 1 hour long.
